Painted cabinets are a staple here at Nickels. Using a combination of solid wood as well as HDF (high-density fiberboard) as our base material, your cabinets are hand-finished, from the multi-step sanding process to the application of the topcoat. Our coloured paints feature tinted primers, and a hardening catalyst is added for lasting durability and each piece and passes multiple inspections before it is delivered to you.

Custom features 20 standard paints to choose from, and our easy to use custom paint option means nearly any colour is possible.

A native species to the Pacific North West, Alder is one of our most popular wood species. In its raw state, Alder has a blonde to reddish tone that darkens as it ages.  Easy to work with and providing a beautiful, open-grained base that we bring to life through our unique finishing process.

Fenix is created by a pressing process in which heat and pressure are applied simultaneously in order to obtain a homogeneous non-porous product. The core structure is composed of paper, impregnated with thermosetting resins. The outer surface is treated with next generation acrylic resins, which are hardened and fixed through an electron beam curing process. With low light reflectivity, the Fenix surface is extremely opaque, soft touch and anti-fingerprint. Thermal healing of superficial micro-scratches is also possible.

Plateau panels are produced with a hard-wearing, anti-fingerprint lacquered surface and undergo ultraviolet curing. This process creates a uniquely soft, ultra-matte look and feel, featuring premium laser edge banding.

High gloss material combines the beauty and durability of true lacquered
doors. Soho panels undergo multiple lacquering and ultraviolet curing stages. This process creates a beautiful, hard-wearing, high gloss finish and features premium laser edge banding.

Thermally-Fused Laminate (TFL): Thermally-Fused laminate is made from decorative paper, mixed resin and fused to a composite board under heat and pressure. This process allows for a variety of patterns and texture to be created and provide a consistent durable product that emulates real wood.
